We are delighted that you may be joining us at the Windrush Inn. We hope the following Frequently Asked Questions may assist you on your visit to our lovely Moonstone Beach. Click to expose the answer.

Windrush is a hostless facility. Check-in time is 4:00 PM. Check-out time is 11:00 AM. We are pleased to feature electronic check in. A code will be sent to your email approximately 24-hours prior to check-in. This code will provide access to your room beginning at 4:00 PM on your day arrival and will expire at 11:00 AM on your date of departure. Early arrivals and late departures cannot normally be accommodated due to the small size of our facility. We need time to thoroughly clean each unit prior to our next guest’s arrival.
Your credit card will be charged in full at the time of your reservation. No changes to the credit card can be made once processed. We are pleased to accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.
Although Windrush is a hostless facility, we are just a phone call away if you are having an issue with room access, TV remotes, extra towels or anything else you may encounter during your stay. If we can’t help you by phone, we will be happy to contact our Housekeeping staff to provide in person service.
The standard room rate is based upon the maximum occupancy of the unit you reserve - two (2) for Units Bay and Cove, four (4) for Unit Gale and eight (8) for Harbor House. No additional guests are permitted, with the exception of an infant in a Pack ‘N Play, which is provided in each unit. There is a 12.8% occupancy tax required by San Luis Obispo County that is not reflected in the room rate, but will be included in your confirmation email. We also assess a pet fee. Please see our pet policy. There are no additional resort fees, parking fees or internet charges.
Should your travel plans change, please call us to cancel or reschedule your reservation as soon as possible. A $50 cancellation fee may apply. In the unlikely event that you must cancel or shorten your stay within five (5) days of your arrival (30 days for holiday weeks), please understand that you may be responsible to pay for the entire reservation. If we are able to successfully rebook your room(s), we will happily apply the appropriate refund to you. We are a small facility and in many instances we have turned away other guests in favor of your advanced reservation. The sooner you can let us know of any cancellations or revisions to your reservation; the more likely we are to rebook the room. Please inform us as soon as you become aware of any necessary changes and we promise to do our best.
Windrush Inn is "Pet Friendly". While we love pets, we understand that some guests have allergies or other reasons not to stay in a room that may have been visited by a furry family member, regardless of the sanitation efforts we use to rehabilitate a room after a pet stay. That is why we require advance notice of a pet stay, and also why we require a $40 fee per pet room stay(not per day); additional effort and resources are necessary to insure the room is clean and allergen free for the next guest. Please note that the Windrush Inn does not provide a fenced outdoor area for pets. Windrush Inn is family friendly. Visiting our charming village presents excellent opportunities for a family to grow closer while exploring the tide pools, attractions and local events. Each guest room is intended to sleep no more than its maximum capacity. We do not provide rollaway beds. An exception is made for infants and each guest room, including Harbor House, is equipped with a Pack ‘N Play with bedding. If you need additional space to accommodate family, we recommend renting one of the larger units, or even multiple units.
